In 2011 I escaped from my role as Director of Studies / Principal Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University and set up a UK based Ukulele Academy. In 2015 our family permanently relocated to our rundown orange farm near Silves, from where I continue to teach Ukulele at the
Algarve Ukulele Academy, Banjo (Bluegrass, Clawhammer and Irish styles), Bass Guitar and Piano, in between trying to manage the farm and raising teenage twins, donkeys, horses, dogs, cats and chickens.
I also attempt to find time to compose
orchestral soundtracks, write reviews for ‘The Old Time News’ magazine and play the melodeon, fiddle, mandolin and
guitar.
